At ClearStream Psychology, we believe you have the right to:
Be yourself.
Not always be okay or your best self.
Be treated with dignity, compassion, caring, and professionalism.
Work with a psychologist who does their ethical duty in using professional knowledge, judgement, and skills to promote and protect your well-being to the best of their ability.
Provide direction and feedback about your needs, goals, experiences, and progress in assessment and treatment.
Understand your assessment and/or treatment plan.
Have appropriate privacy, confidentiality, and safety for your personal psychological health information.
Refuse or withdraw consent for some or all psychological services at any time.
And we believe you have the responsibility to:
Be yourself.
Actively participate during sessions.
Actively practice between sessions.
Be willing to experience and experiment with new ways of thinking, behaving, and feeling.
Be as curious, honest, brave, and persistent as you are able.
Recognize that you may find some parts of your assessment or treatment to be challenging at times.
Provide direction and feedback about your needs, goals, experiences, and progress in assessment and treatment, so that your psychologist can understand how to best provide services.
Prepare for effective sessions: consider your treatment goals, arrive on time, reduce distractions, and bring your notepad/ beverage/ sweater/ etc.
